Education and training is one of the most effective activities to direct a member to improvement, upward mobility and a sense of confidence on the job. In this era of downsizing and outsourcing, members without education benefits or security in their contracts welcome these resources. CWA Districts and Locals will lead the efforts in outreach provide visible value to membership and supporting the ideals behind CWA Strong. This project will attract non-traditional members that would normally not participate or be exposed to union activities. Through this engagement, local unions will be able to identify and engage members that normally would not have.
How to participate
If you are a CWA member in good standing, select the portal to the right that corresponds to your locality in your union. Then reach out to your area coordinator.
ASSESSMENT- PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Members will have access to a STRONG Personal Interest Assessment followed by a one-on-one session with a Career Counselor.
INSTRUCTOR LED TRAINING
Members will be enrolled in our partner Community College to participate in a variety of instructor led certification courses.
Choose from hundreds of on-line courses from professional technical, or personal interest topics. The courses are instructor supported with structured six-week classes to self paced for three months.
